Filling viscous sauces into round PET bottles: four-head dosing unit for standard necks

A round PET bottle is the most common format: one neck for the whole range, a standard closure and a standard label. The four heads dose ketchup, mayonnaise or cream sauce into the bottle while it moves on the chain conveyor, without stopping the container, and the level stays even even at high viscosity. We size the configuration to your neck, closure and output.

What changes with this machine

The bottle never stops under the filling heads: round PET bottles move continuously on the slat conveyor while the four fillers follow their speed. The stop–start cycle disappears, so useful output rises. The product in an open bottle stays calm: in-motion filling has no inertial surge that causes uneven levels and marks on the inner wall — visible at once through clear PET. The dose is set by servo revolutions, not air pressure. Changing the bottle format means adjusting gripper distance and frame height, not reprogramming: moving between 0.5 L and 1 L formats needs no software work. Frame and working parts are 304 food-grade stainless steel with clear tempered doors.

No container stops

The product is a viscous or thick mass: ketchup, tomato sauce, mayonnaise, cream sauce, cheese sauce, mustard sauce, soy sauce, pesto, béchamel, BBQ, curry.

Calm product surface

Containers are round PET bottles: body diameter, height, neck finish and diameter for the cap or pump.

Servo dosing

For high-viscosity products use reinforced PET: a standard wall deforms under stops and pressure variation in the line.

Changeover without debugging

Container feed is continuous on a slat conveyor; the machine is not designed for stop-and-position filling.

The site provides 380 V / 50 Hz power and 0.6–0.8 MPa compressed air through a filter-regulator.

Washing built in

Product changeover allows washing with water or sterile water, waste collection in a tank and side drainage.

Position in the line: after product preparation and feeding, before capping, labelling and block packing. Product goes from the hopper through stainless pipes into the dosing cylinders, through three-way rotary valves and filling heads into the bottle; the slat conveyor carries the filled containers on. Induction sealing or capping, if required, is a separate unit downstream. A different feeding arrangement is a separate configuration.

Construction and process

Scenario: continuous filling into round PET bottles

The line covers the section from prepared product feed to the closed bottle moving on to capping and labelling. Clear PET helps here: fill level and bottle cleanliness are visible on pallets and on shelf.

How it works: the container moves, the filler follows

The bottle never stops. Four filling heads move synchronously with the conveyor on a rack-and-pinion and linear guide, grippers hold the bottle on the nozzle axis, and dosing happens on the move.

Feeding and dosing

The U-shaped hopper with a level sensor stops the feed pump at the set level. Product travels through stainless pipes into the dosing cylinders; the plunger draws and pushes the dose while three-way rotary valves switch the flow.

Grippers, guides and changing the PET bottle format

Gripper distance is adjusted by screw to the neck diameter of the specific bottle, frame height to the vessel height. Conveyor guides are set to the body diameter so the round bottle travels straight without shifting under the grippers.

A cylinder lowers the nozzle to the neck or partly inside to reduce splashing. Pneumatic lines on the moving heads are protected by a nylon chain; pipes come apart with quick-release fittings.

What to confirm before ordering

Send samples — we test on your product and build the configuration around it.

  • Container: body diameter, bottle height, height to the neck base.
  • Neck: type and finish, diameter for cap, pump or sprayer.
  • Material and wall thickness; reinforced PET for high-viscosity products.
  • Closure: screw cap, flip-top, sprayer, dosing pump; whether induction sealing or capping is needed.
  • Product: viscosity, filling temperature, solid particles, whether heat treatment is required.
  • Line: equipment before and after, whether bottles are blown or dried before labelling, infeed speed.
  • Site: 380 V / 50 Hz power, 0.6–0.8 MPa air, service access.

Confirmed by testing, not promised

PET bottle behaviour under stops (body deformation, neck geometry change), actual dose and output, product residue in the cylinder and at the nozzle, and wash duration and quality after changeover are not claimed as confirmed values: they are checked on your samples before shipment. Compatibility with induction sealing, capping, labelling and block packing is confirmed against your samples and the line scheme. Equipment for another head count or container type is a separate configuration.
