OPC UA and Modbus/TCP: agree the line interface
Check controller, protocol and signal requirements against the specific equipment configuration.
Provide the controller model, software version and receiving system details. Specify whether you need status monitoring or commands as well. A network connector alone does not establish support for the required data exchange.
List machine states, counters, alarms, selected format and other required values. Agree on direction, units, update interval and behavior when communication is lost. OPC UA uses an information model whose fit with the receiving system requires a separate check.
Include the required protocol in the agreed specification. Clarify software options, access rights and integration responsibilities. Verify actual signals and loss/recovery of communication during acceptance. Universal protocol support across all CODAPAK machines is not claimed here.
