Twist-Off vacuum capping: agree the pack and process

Start with matched jar and closure samples, the selected vacuum method and finished-pack requirements.

Provide the jar and closure, neck dimensions, lug profile, gasket and safety-button details. State product, filling temperature and opening requirements. Review cap feeding, placement and closing as one process.

Distinguish the required vacuum in the finished pack from the machine method used to obtain it. If steam capping is being considered, agree on packaging suitability, available steam conditions and equipment scope. A vacuum capper designation does not establish that a steam module is included.

Include closure condition, closing quality and the agreed pack inspection method in acceptance. Check normal operation and format changes. Settings, leak criteria and product requirements must be agreed for the actual matched pack, not inferred from the Twist-Off name.

Confirm the equipment route and interface scope needed in this phase. Product, pack, dose, normal and peak targets, and existing machines organise the next sample information.
