Key equipment considerations for sauce filling projects
Hot filling tomato paste: checks for your project
Agree on the operating temperature range and measurement points for the product, feeding path and filling cycle.
Start with the approved product and packaging requirements. State incoming product temperature, the permitted filling range and restart conditions. Hot filling does not define one temperature suitable for every sauce.
Review the path from tank to nozzle, feeding conditions and waiting time. Discuss heating or temperature maintenance and sensor positions for the selected configuration. A tank reading alone does not describe conditions at the nozzle.
Record temperature at agreed locations during startup, normal operation and restart. Define the response to readings outside the permitted range. Equipment checks do not replace validation of recipe and process safety by the responsible specialist.
Confirm the equipment route and interface scope needed in this phase. Product, pack, dose, normal and peak targets, and existing machines organise the next sample information.
