Line stage 15
Pallets & transfer
A line reaches the warehouse only when the full pallet is handed off. Empty-pallet supply, full-pallet buffering, and forklift pickup need planning together for a smooth warehouse handoff.
Empty-pallet direction, locating, and replenishment continue to affect palletizing, while full-pallet removal, buffering, and warehouse handoff need their own line interfaces.
Provide the pallet and dimensions, dynamic and static loads, forklift or racking method, cleaning needs, pallet pattern, empty-pallet storage, full-pallet destination, and warehouse receiving rate.
This stage can be added to an existing line or built into a new one. Surrounding machines, pack, normal and peak rates, fault handling, and layout determine the interfaces.
